So your ready to book your test! This section of our website will help you to prepare for the day of your test. A candidate who turns up prepared for test is going to feel much more relaxed and calm and therefor perform much better.
Every learner has to pass two tests before they can drive: the theory test and the practical test. Your Rapide Driving School instructor will help you prepare for both.
You must first pass the theory test before you can take the practical part of the test. The theory test consists of two parts: a multiple choice question section and a hazard perception video clip section. You will need to achieve a pass mark in both section in order to progress.
If you have passed a theory test for a different type of vehicle you will still have to pass the car theory test before being able to take the practical test. Make sure you take your driving license with you on the day of your test, you will not be able to take the test without it.
We recommend using the DSA theory revision materials as they guarantee the most update and thorough resources. We have also prepared some exclusive Rapide driving lesson video clips in order to show you our recommended hazard perception methods.

In order to prepare for your practical test, take some time to revise all of your methods for your manoeuvres and test route videos on our video page. Remember: a better prepared candidate is more likely to impress an examiner.
First impressions count, so it’s important to also revise your show me/tell me questions in order to prove to the examiner that you’ve done everything to be ready for the test.
